  New RI App Won't Open
Posted by: CraigS26 - 09-14-2020, 04:20 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (3)

I recently installed the Win 10-64 1909  Sept Cum Update - -- related = ??
RI had been doing fine; Today I added Task #11 and the app started opening for 1-second and then closing. Repeatedly ....
I finally Deleted All and dnloaded the ZIP, Extracting in Both D: HDD and C: SSD --

and the "First" -- robointern.exe -- in C:\Robointern  Folder and Same EXE in - services folder -- Will Not Open. I presume TWO - robointern.exe's SHOULD exist in 2 places described....
I've occasionally seen either "a Windows Security is not allowing the app to open" OR Your Administrator is Not allowing app to open (Defender NOT in use) , so I've Excluded it in ESET EIS Security app Real Time Protection module AND MBAM Exclusions.

No App Opening still.
Any ideas appreciated.

  Error status
Posted by: jfitzg - 07-31-2020, 07:55 AM - Forum: How To / Q&A - Replies (1)

Hi Any way I can see what a status of 'Error' might mean? I scheduled a task to run a program (vbs) and it seem to run correctly, but the status in RoboIntern is 'Error'.
Thanks

Hi, first of all this app has saved me so much time in the office. It's truly incredible and has so much potential.

Through much heartache and misery I've managed to create an Excel document that creates file addresses that are generated from other document. What would be useful for me is if I could use the file addresses created in the cells as sources for actions.

Thanks in advance.

  TASKS GO MISSING
Posted by: CraigS26 - 06-24-2020, 11:31 AM - Forum: How To / Q&A - No Replies

EDIT: 9-10-20 Disappearing Tasks was FIXED by installing an Updated Ver of Robointern. I NOW have 10 Tasks vs the previous LIMIT of 8.
Triggers for .xlsx File Changes seem to be much better Vs having to manually Run, which is Still OK.
Looking for Donate box and will when I can find it. Great App I'm still learning (ie) Dual Functions on same Task..
===================================================
This should show (currently) 9 tasks I setup and in a day or two Task #9 -- will Disappear. I have created 3-Income (#9) MULTI-TIMES.
IS there a Task Limit or some explanation/ trick to keeping All Tasks?
8 tasks seem to stay OK, just After #8 that they disappear.

BTW, Some Tasks don't work automatically but I do a Manual RUN and THAT is helpful anyway.

Hi,

I think it should have an option to run the tasks in parallel.

Copy PDF File to S: when created in D: Folder
Posted by: CraigS26 - 05-07-2020, 11:03 AM - Forum: How To / Q&A - Replies (4)

When I Save a new Monthly PDF Statement to a Folder on the D: Drive I want the app to Copy it to the Same Folder in a USB S: bkup drive.
After setting up the Copy function Paths D to S ...  the Trigger of - File Created - and the Path entered in D: for where the Save To of the New PDF File goes, -- OPEN --  is all that's offered - SO I'm using the wrong Logic - IF this can be done at all.

Any help is appreciated. Love the App.

  Error with On time trigger
Posted by: stivo - 05-06-2020, 01:14 PM - Forum: Bug Reports - Replies (9)

Hi.

I think that I've found reason why I'm getting error on some tasks.

There could be an error on On Time trigger. If I set any task to trigger e.g. every 1 hour and shut down/hibernate my computer, and time to execute task will be during shut down/hibernate time, then app shows an error.

Look at this:

I've restart one of my tasks, and then hibernate computer. After wakes it up shows me na error, which I mention also in Delay action topic:

because my computer wasn't turned on in Next run time.

I had to modify my other task, because it has similar work to do (download file every few hours), but with one more trigger (computer starts/wakes up). So it does'nt execute after shut down/hibernate time. I've deltedt On time trigger and it looks task is running after computer's start/wake up.

  RoboIntern and AutoHotkey
Posted by: burque505 - 04-24-2020, 10:00 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (1)

I posted a brief review of RoboIntern  here  in the AutoHotkey user forum.

As RoboIntern (at least in my limited experience so far) runs AutoHotkey programs without complaint, I expect AutoHotkey users will be interested (I hope so).

(It wouldn't surprise me at all if AutoIt users could benefit from RoboIntern as well, but I don't have a whole lot of experience with AutoIt.)

Hi,
I have discovered that RoboIntern works well for scheduling  Robin scripts.
Very nice!

Smile Triggers in supplied examples
Posted by: burque505 - 04-24-2020, 03:31 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (1)

Hello,

Might I suggest setting the trigger in the supplied examples to "No trigger" initially, with perhaps an explanation?
My reasoning is that when unwary users like yours truly Smile run an example without reading any documentation Blush , the error messages resulting from the preset triggers (although not affecting functionality) are disconcerting.

Thanks very much for RoboIntern, by the way! This appears very promising indeed.
